Hi.
I am marveling at the fact that another month has passed us by. This September there was much to enjoy and appreciate. I’ve laid the groundwork for a chapter of my life I’m thrilled to begin, and took care to enjoy what remained of a beautiful, sprawling American summer.
🫂 Friends, coworkers, and mentors
Since late July, I’ve been working in the most beautiful setting, surrounded by an incredibly generous team of people. Over the last week or so, I’ve been encouraged by them and given advice I will carry with me into the future. I feel so lucky to have made friends in all these people and reassured that the universe connects you with exactly what and who you’re meant to be near at any given moment in time.
🕶️ Exposure Therapy
I am now the king of talking to strangers on the phone. Not because I like it, not because it comes easy to me, but because I forced myself to be okay with it. What I’m saying is that I’ve effectively bludgeoned my phone call aversion to death and I’m proud of it. The discomfort of repetition and experience was the only way.
👔 The Dare
I like driving to music that I want to roll my windows down and also makes me want to dance. My September playlist makes for many such drives and is naturally dominated by songs from the new The Dare album.
🔪 Getting Dermaplaned
I’ve gotten more facials this month than I have in my whole life which is a nice treat. Out of the process I’ve found a new favorite cleanser and also experienced dermaplaning for the first time which absolutely rocks because it sloughed away old dead skin until my face turned all bright and glowy.
🛏️ The Combination of Foam Roll & Back Sleeping
Since I discovered the simple joy of life without upper back pain after a massage, I have been prioritizing keeping my back from ever tightening back up. Especially as running becomes part of my routine, I’ve been foam rolling a lot right before bed and I spend the night sleeping on my back. It has become a nice little part of my nighttime routine.
🗯️ Oversized Accessories
Wearing enormous scrunchies, my large square glasses frames, fat earrings, and blouses with exaggerated collars is how I’ve recently been adding personality to my work outfits. I feel like I’m wearing a costume to play a character in Going To Work: The Play, in a good way.

⭐ Three Things You Loved
Before I let you go, some Not Headlines for your enjoyment.
Saltburn director Emerald Fennell is directing a new adaptation of Wuthering Heights which will star Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Horrible vibe. Nate Jacobs being a Byronic hero puts me in such a foul mood.
Almost half of Gen Z says they wish apps like TikTok and X did not exist.
Chanel’s Vamp nail polish is basically back. Black Cherry is a deeeeep chocolatey red and, according to Vogue, is the nail polish color of the fall.
Alright, that’s all from me. ‘Til next week.
XO,
Natasha
And now, the last word: BITE 💡
